Formed by members of SALUTETOTHESUN and NEBULA RISING, THE OBSCENE are churnung out 'raw, ugly, blasphemous, old school' death metal from the North East of England. Drawing influence from old school death and black metal, the band have old school principles with a modern day sound! 

THE OBSCENE are seasoned veterans of the U.K. Underground scene (having been involved in bands such as MORSTICE, BLESSED REALM, SALUTETOTHESUN) and rather than heading down the 'demo path' again, THE OBSCENE had the confidence and skills to record an e.p. which they would distribute to labels with the hope of being picked up and recognised for their efforts.

Needless to say, the hard work has paid off!!!

 

The band have signed with PEST RECORDS to release their newest e.p. THE TORMENT OF SINNERS. The e.p. features 6 brand new tracks as well as 6 tracks of bonus material, namely 2008's e.p. DESTROYING THE HEAVENS!!!
